Rose Parade honors Kay Kramer from Remsen Iowa
Kay Kramer son of Cyril and Mrs Kramer of Remsen graduate of Le Mars High School will march with the State University of Iowa Marching Band in the Rose Bowl parade on January 1 1957. He is in his third season with the band and his second year on the band staff chosen by director Fredrick C Ebbs. He helped plan the trip as a train captain and to set up rules for band members. Kramer studies Liberal Arts aiming for a Bachelor of Music Education degree and participates in the Concert Band University Chorus and Hillcrest Dormitory Student Council. The Rose Bowl trip is sponsored by Oldsmobile Division GM with events in Omaha Los Angeles and Phoenix before the parade.
