The Ladies Aid met Thursday at Mrs. A Rozendahl. Herman Qoldenkamp of Rock Valley called on Maurice Thursday. Margaret Roggen returned Friday from Sheldon. Delko Bloom of Sioux City dined with Herman Vanderwell. Eileen Orton and Marvin Orton were noted locals.

Local ladies elect officers at First Reformed church meeting

Sioux City residents attended a church ladies aid meeting where officers for the upcoming year were re-elected: President Mrs John Roggen Vice President Mrs Mary Kots Treasurer Mrs Ben Kots and Secretary Mrs John Van Roekel. A dinner honored Mrs C L Bowen with attendees including Mrs Jennings Mrs Kopeck Nora Buckley and Carrie Orton. W Kamstra of Orange City visited the Hop home.

Social life featured jurors drawn for court, church women hosting welcome events, and a busy week of visitors, travels, and family gatherings amid a festive town with colored central streets.

Lincoln Wetrosky returned home Sunday after three weeks with sister Mrs Vernon Cooper. A Friday party at Harry Baum’s featured ecards and a luncheon. Guests included many local families such as Utecht, Wetrosky, Porsch, Lau, Huffman, and Rosenmerkel members. A surprise birthday for William Utecht occurred Sunday night with card games and a luncheon.
