Sheriff Frank Scholer disclosed two Sioux City youths were jailed in Sioux County for looting farms and gravel pits while posing as hunters. A separate arrest of Glen Ruhe involves a battery theft at Wiltgen gravel pit. Wichers and De Young were sentenced to years at Anamosa after pleading guilty to grand larceny for stealing $200 in tools from a county shed near Alton and batteries from the Jager sand plant.

Eggs unused. some gas and oil used. Rilbe charged with nighttime larceny and bonded for trial after January. Burglars also hit junk yard east of James, owned by Clarence Mears Irving Schudze and Harry Sheer of Sioux City. stolen were six old batteries, two tires, two radiator cores.

Ott House Burns On Rural Farm
