Corn Sugar Aids To Iowa Farmers
The Globe-Post investigates corn sugar and finds Iowa poised for a new market as stores in Des Moines report limited current availability. A five pound bag sold for 80 cents and grocers say larger purchases could lower costs. The piece notes corn sugar is milder and digestible, closely resembling cane sugar, and suggests widespread use could boost corn demand by 100 million bushels annually.
