Plymouth Stanton Socials Highlight Family Visits and Birthdays

Mrs Martin Wecker has been ill under a doctor's care this week. Mrs Fred Reinhart of Alta Vista Iowa visited here two weeks and joined Mr and Mrs Carl Lippke for a Sunday family dinner with Chas Schultz, Walter Zimmerman and their families. Mr and Mrs Frank Kehrberg hosted several families including Kehrbergs Al Bert Kaiser Elmer and Ernest Kehrberg and Chas Lentz of Le Mars. Rev Schuldt of Merrill Methodist church visited A W Knapp home. Earl Kaiser celebrated his twenty first birthday with a surprise gathering Monday evening from a crowd of young friends.

Auxiliary of Nash Post American Legion met to sew lavettes for a soldier’s wife and donate to the Christmas tree fund for town children. Local households hosted bridge and social events. annual PEO luncheon featured stories songs, and charitable contributions. Births noted twin girls and a baby boy. residents traveled to Sioux City for medical and social visits and relatives.

Remsen Visit and Local Fire and Death Notices

Jim Walker of Spokane visited Remsen with relatives on Saturday. A fire at the Gaden home south of the public school, now occupied by the Earl Veeck family, was started by defective furnace pipes and quickly extinguished. LeMars saw funeral services for Nick Wiltgen attended by Math Lanners and George Rhoe. Mrs Henry Linderman died Sunday morning after a brief illness.

Ald Society Bazaar At Legion Rooms Draws Crowd

The Ald Society of the St. Lutheran Church held two bazaars at the legion rooms on Saturday with a good crowd attending. Fancy work, quilts and more were sold. Luncheon served all afternoon and evening. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Meyer moved to Sioux City on business Monday.
