Mrs Alice Ryan Dies At Alton After Long Life Of Service
Mrs Alice Lieb Ryan of Alton died suddenly Thursday afternoon in November. Born March 30, 1885 at Pocahontas she moved with her parents to Alton area. She trained as a nurse in Denver and at the Veterans Bureau in Alexandria Iowa. She married Edward Ryan Feb 10 1925 and they farmed at Churdan before moving to Alton in 1941. Funeral at St Marys Catholic Church presided by Rev Z Reising. Pallbearers listed. She was active in Catholic Mission club and Rosary society and cherished family friends. Her husband died in May 1949.
