By Special Correspondent Mrs. F. Bendixson and Vernon Morey of Craig received word of the death of a brother Ellis. The notice notes the family’s connection to Ireton and Craig as the locations linked to the mourners.
Morey of Fresno California died in a local hospital at age 43. He is survived by a wife and daughter, his mother, and three sisters.
Sympathy extends to the bereaved. Mrs J A Linderman visits Des Moines this week with daughters. Richard Hammans of Gaza Ia elected coach and manual training instructor by Treton board. L D Satterlee returns from Le Mars hospital. Numerous visits and reentries among Ireton residents. school events include senior class play May 15 and graduation May 18-22 with guest speaker Dr Earl Emme. teachers reelected and new appointments announced.
Special correspondent notes Wilma Cassen’s birthday gatherings with the Hagges Ruble and others in attendance. The piece lists numerous Le Mars area visitors and family guests, including Kallsens, Kelloggs, and Miller households, plus hospital and home visits, with multiple dinners and Sunday calls.
Des Moines travelers Owens Al and Ray Masuen spent the past weekend at home here after being there last week as salesmen. Mrs. Margaret Peters, recently released from Le Mars hospital, returned Friday to the Sacred Heart hospital for further care. Mrs. John Meis hosted relatives in Remsen Wednesday. Jack Ostert from south of town visited the Charles Masuen home to paper rooms. Miss Katie Rolfes visited Le Mars Friday. Mrs. Florence Meis and daughter Audrey of Sioux City arrived Saturday to visit John Meis and left Monday. Dr. and Mrs. Herman Meis of Sheldon spent Sunday afternoon at the Meis home. Miss Della Kuster called in Pemsen on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Masuen were in Sioux City on business. Mrs. Louise Wilhelmi and her children of Remsen were among callers at Mrs. John Cronin’s home on Sunday. Other out of town visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Watson Reeves of south of Le Mars and Mrs. Herman Meis of Sheldon.
The Misses Rosalinda and Caroline Ziegrang of Vermillion South Dakota drive their new Ford V-8 sedan purchased recently. Ray Kaiser was in Le Mars transacting business Tuesday. Miss Evelyn Tentinger daughter of Mr and Mrs Peter Tentinger, while in Sioux City Thursday, was heard on the air in the program over KSCJ at noon.
