Visit Will Place Sister in Asylum In Cherokee

James Hines traveled from St. Louis to visit his brother in law John Quinland about placing his sister Mrs Quinland in the Cherokee asylum. He returned home Saturday. Two Quinland girls went to St. Louis with him, the other two to Denver to live with aunt Mrs John Hines. Mrs Hines returned Monday. Mr Quinland will care for the two little boys. The parting was a sad one.

Gateway Nursery Company organized at LeMars

The Gateway Nursery Company is formed in LeMars with a $50,000 capital to succeed Fairmont Nurseries. Incorporators and directors include Pierce Bechtle and C. A. Still. The firm will expand territory across Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois, with Bechtle as manager and A. dtils of Cherokee directing field work. The company plans large expansions, new offices, storage, and packing sheds, and expects to double retail and wholesale business within a year.

Delightful masquerade ball at Bolser residence

A leading social event of the week, Miles Bolser hosted a masquerade at his parents home on Hagle Street. Guests arrived with Miss Ken Bolser greeting at the door and Mrs. Bolser upstairs. The rooms featured pink and green decor, music by Miss Wattie Dressellings, and a crystal punch bowl. At 10:30 dainty tables were set for a small group luncheon of two courses, with Mrs. I. M. Roseberry assisting Mr. Boiser.

Excelsior Literary Society Program at College Chapel

The Excelsior Literary Society presents a college program in the college chapel on Friday evening May 1, 1903. EUVOCATION. A sequence of solo and ensemble pieces follows with Lippe Vemold, Mr. pischer, Mr. Maier, and S. Schimalle, plus recitations and instrumental items by Thompson, H. Kuenig, and the Misses Henry.
