Perry Center report notes Agnes Nash bought a car in Sioux City last Monday. The purchase is recorded as a local business matter with Agnes Nash as buyer.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Vondrak of Sioux City were on their farm Saturday tending interests. Mrs. Steve Brock returned from Lincoln after visiting relatives. Ruth Swanson was an overnight guest of her cousin Helen Petersen in Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. William Flannery of Sioux City spent Thursday in the area.
The Perry Friendship Club will meet Thursday afternoon in the home of Mrs Howard Trometer in Liberty Township. The event is hosted by Mr. and Mrs John Kovarna.
Mr Pyles physics class treated themselves to a skip day on Wednesday. They traveled to Sioux City visiting places of interest. Students envied the outing and wished they were taking physics.
Students labored Saturday removing wire netting and poles from the tennis courts. They plan to repurpose the materials as a baseball backstop at the diamond. Despite a gloomy mood, work progressed and some music contest results followed, with five seconds and three thirds.

First Baptist worship at 11 a.m. with sermon, 5 p.m. singing and outreach, 7:30 p.m. prayer meeting Thursdays 7:30 p.m. Choir practice Thursdays 8:30 p.m. Annual church business meeting to be held Wednesday.
On Sunday at First Methodist, nine individuals were baptized and received by the hand of fellowship including Frank Davis Ralph Hunter Gordon Rozell Lorraine Rozell Shirley Rozell Joann Shilt Ida Mae Irwin Patty Rickabaugh and Helen Chamberlain Mrs C Rickabaugh joined the church by experience Pastor S A Jones announced Sunday school at 9:45 am morning worship at 11 am with sermon Constant Amidst Inconstancy Epworth League gathered at 6:30 led by Don Marcue on Words That Wear Masks Choir practice Thursday at 7:30 pm.
