August Schwandt, via Sammis and Bradley of LeMars, sues Henry and Mrs. Octken of Portland township for 2500 dollars. He alleges wrongful arrest on December 21, 1901, false imprisonment, and damage to reputation, claiming 2500 dollars for prosecution and legal costs after being acquitted in district court. The case is set for the April term.

Allen Bogen performed piano solos and accompanied vocalists at nightly services. The new Elks home was praised as the finest seen by attendees. Bigelow has led LeMars schools for fifteen years and holds a Nebraska University diploma.
