Mrs Earl Gordon has received word that her mother Mrs Clara Pederson of Filley Nebraska died at a Beatrice hospital. Born in Tylstrup Denmark on April 30 1863 she will be remembered by many friends in Le Mars.
Dr H P Oggel formerly of Maurice and long time Sioux County physician dies at a Waterloo hospital at age 90 after a fall fracture. He came to Orange City as a boy and began practice in 1900, retiring in 1956. Survived by widow Dorothy Eberly, son Dean, five grandchildren. Funeral April 6 at First Presbyterian Sioux City with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Herman John Seggerman 60 died April 9 at his farm home. Funeral Saturday April 11 at Kingsley Methodist with Rev. Myron Brockmeyer officiating. Burial at Remsen cemetery. Survived by wife Emily. sons Gerald and Lowell. two grandchildren. mother Grace Segger man. seven sisters. three brothers. Preceded by son Larry Arthur, one brother, two sisters. Chelsea Metcalf dies at 79 in Sutherland rest home.

Northwest and Southwest sections name numerous area captains such as Rev J D Ransom, Mrs John Trom baugh, and Mrs Norman Bole ser along with extensive lists of volunteers.

Sixty Gehlen Mixed Chorus members join sixteen other schools for a massed choir on Diocesan Award Day at Kuemper High Carroll. Superior ratings in diocesan contests earn awards. On May 6 Gehlen High Chorus presents a concert at Pocahontas Catholic High directed by Sister M St James.

President of the Woodbury County chapter of the March of Dimes. Member of Iowa Farm Bureau and Chamber of Commerce with service to Insurance Trade Association and Lutheran Welfare Society. Active in Masonic Bodies and fundraisers for Morningside College YMCA Community Chest and March of Dimes. Named to Who’s Who in the Midwest.

Mr and Mrs Gale Ellingson of 3120 Jay Avenue Sioux City announce the engagement of their daughter Caro Jean Ellingson to Ray Jennings son of Mr and Mrs Charles Jennings of Le Mars. Miss Ellingson works for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co in Sioux City. An August wedding is planned.
Le Mars police investigated a breakin at Ludwig's Frozen Foods on Highway 75 South over the weekend. Owner Fritz Ludwig reported nothing missing and noted damage to the back door as police continue the investigation.
In the probate district court final papers on Hester Pitts will were filed for inheritance tax purposes. Heirs listed include daughter Hester sons Chan and Carter Pitts and son in law Dr eter Oppenheimer. Estate valued at 106952.58 with two farms valued at 5408.04 and a mortgage note of 36594.06 by Chan and Carter Pitts. Roger Mortiesen of Cherokee was fined five dollars for lacking a valid operator license.
In Plymouth County district court the will dated September 24 1946 was admitted to probate on April 8 1964 Irene Lee executor of the estate requests creditors to file claims within six months from the second publication and debts be paid promptly. Roseberry and Down of Le Mars Iowa represent the executor. Published in Le Mars Globe-Post April 13 and 20 1964.

Mrs C Nussbaum of rural Oyens is in good condition at Sacred Heart Hospital after a fall downstairs at the Norman Weber farm home about 4 00 p m Friday Luken ambulance brought her in. She suffered a possible shoulder injury and numerous cuts and bruises as she helped several other ladies at the Weber home when she fell down basement steps.
