Niehaus shoots at girl in Union Township attack
Caspar Niehaus fired four shots at Miss Anna Wengler, a fifteen year old girl helping in a field near Scott Clarke Place. Wengler was wounded above the hip and shoulder blade, with scalp injuries. her father, Mr. Wengler, was hurt while subduing Niehaus. Niehaus was arrested and held for grand jury action as doctors battled infection risk. Wengler’s condition is serious but hopeful for recovery.

Tienry Ting, former owner of the Family Theatre, has bought the Cynic at Cherokee and will rename it Wonderland. The theater will close until May first while Ling renovates to create a premier moving picture establishment with the latest machinery. Rev Carlos E. Jones has resigned the position of rector of St George's Episcopal church and will soon move to a suburban church in Milwaukee.
