D. S. Twogood announces candidacy for the Republican nomination for a three year term as supervisor in Plymouth County at the June primary. He seeks the party’s nomination to lead county government and community affairs.
The LeMars Globe reports a filing by the District Court of Plymouth County Iowa appointing Dennis Hoffmann and Frank Hoffmann as executors of Christina Kandyha deceased. Creditors must present claims legally authenticated for allowance with Keenan Kelley attorneys. A separate probate notice for William J Stokes estate sets May hearings for will proof and admission to probate in Plymouth County.
Friday arithmetic shows perfect papers in Grade 3 while Grade 1 reports transfers and new faces. Students signed dental cards rise to 21. Story club hour featured readings by multiple students and will rotate next Friday with Row 2 in charge.
Last Wednesday our history projects were shown in the auditorium with a short program about Medieval History. Students Leonard Purcell George Pavlik Richard Schultz Marione Stoner Phyllis White Virginia Conner Lorna Deviney Cecilia Geary and Marion Rees contributed. George Pavlik acted as master of ceremonies. Two movie reels titled Safety First and Living Things were shown.
Ladies met Thursday afternoon to study phase 4 of the home project work at Mrs. Tina Miller’s. Participants include Mesdames Bogh Petersen Kloster Larson Kloster Lundgren Bouma Perry Mortensen Juhl Lundgren and others. Topics covered rugs furniture labeling odds standards color and style plus selecting pictures for various rooms. Refreshments served and next meeting set for April 16 at Mrs. Andrew Bogh to finish plans for achievement day on April 23.
Ireton news reports Travis Parker of LeMars visiting his ill brother Fred Parker. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. FB Morris of Sioux City visiting friends, L Porter of Cuba City Wis pursuing business and old ties, Max Feldman of Pipestone Minn visiting and handling affairs, and Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Simons and Eldon of Hawarden guests at Elmer Vander Hamm's, with Mrs. Jennie Carpenter mentioned.
