LeMars Iowa March 28 1932 the board of Supervisors met adjourned session with Chairman Miller and Supervisors Zim gnerman Timmins and Twogood Present. Minutes of March 21 read approved. Farm Bureau appropriation for coming year approved. German Farm Mutual Insurance Co renewal granted. Akron business petition to remove two miles from county trunk road No 5 discussed. motion to eliminate this year but keep in trunk system carried. Communications from Akron Lumber Co referred to Supervisor Miller. Fidelity Casualty repairs noted. house committee reported completed. Adjourned to April 4 1932.

First Quarterly Conference Held by Sioux City District
On Tuesday evening Dr. O. M. Bond district superintendent of Sioux City conducted the First Quarterly Conference. After the business meeting lunch was served. The woman's home missionary society plans a meeting with Mrs. J. M. Kunath on Wednesday April 20. Ralph Lowe of Cambridge arrived Wednesday to visit Mrs. Lowe for a few days.

Mrs Ben Fisher visited the Wm Faulkner home Wednesday. Roads remain spongy and labor will be needed to eliminate rats, several locals attended the Akron show Sunday evening. Mrs Bill Fisher and daughter Virgean and Miss Hannah Fisher visited Mrs Chas Kluter near Ireton Thursday. Kluter and Art Johnson and Tiny Satterlee of Ireton visited Brunsville Saturday evening. Luther League of Grant township to present The Old Fashioned Mother at Grand theater in Brunsville Wednesday April 13. Alfred Goodmanson was Sioux City caller Thursday after Brunsville callers Tillie Utesch and daughter Lillian. George Miller, George Siehens, and Mr and Mrs Harvey Fisher were LeMars callers Friday. Buggy riding, horseback riding, and walking were great sport.

Local School Board Hires Teachers for Next Year
At a recent board meeting the teachers for the coming year were hired. Miss Elna Grimjes was re elected to the upper room and Miss Dorothy Brown of Jlawarden was chosen for the lower grades. A cut of 10 per month was made in teachers wages and 15.00 per year in the secretarys. Mr and Mrs John Tammen of Chatsworth and the Ludwigs families visited Tony Tammen on Friday for Clara Tam mens 16th birthday celebration.
