Le Mars council eyes new zoning and building code
The Le Mars City Council informally approved planning commission details for a proposed zoning and building code. The ordinance would require building permits for new homes moves or significant alterations, set minimum yard space, and restrict new garages in residential areas while keeping commercial restrictions for now. The planning commission plans to further refine storm water provisions and water use from the winter pond.
