R C Steele aged 76 died at the Dalton family home after weeks of illness from complications of old age. He ran a Dalton general store and served as postmaster for years. He was active in the LeMars First Methodist Church and well respected. Funeral held Sunday at 3:30 at LeMars First Methodist with Rev Geo A Whitfield officiating. Interment in Omaha. accompanied by wife and daughter. Police notes follow on Blackburn burglary case and a fire at Trewery and Co shop. Blackburn bound over to grand jury after a local hearing.
