Dreckmans attended the Waske funeral services. A baby girl Doris Ann arrived to Joe and Doris Dreckman. The P T A at America township No 5 hosted a pot luck supper with a school program and plays. A quilting party at Steve Kellens, birthday memories for Harpenau family, and visits by Jens Peterson and nearby families were noted.

Fire destroyed the Lund residence with furniture saved. Ovens and Alton firefighters fought the blaze.
