Golden Wedding of O F Ward and wife in LeMars
Mr and Mrs O F Ward celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their LeMars home with many friends sending best wishes. The couple married in Maryland in 1855 and have nine children born, four living. O F Ward, 72, remains active in carpentry and local work. Mrs Ward, 68, has faced illness in recent years. Immediate family attendance included relatives from Storm Lake Sioux City Merrill and Excelsior Springs.

Funeral of Mrs. James Mohan
Funeral services for Mrs. James Mohan were held at St. James church on Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. Father O'Farrell. Born Mary Geary in Lexington Kentucky on February 19 1841 she married James Mohan in 1870 at Garryowen Iowa. The couple moved to South Dakota then Stanton township and have resided in LeMars twenty two years. She was a devoted wife and mother and an earnest Christian. Surviving relatives live in LeMars Sioux City Fort Dodge Akron and Stanton township. Pallbearers named include Pat Slickey M Kennedy Frank Levins Mike Woohey Wm Sullivan and BR McCarthy.

Death of Cana Boyce Plymouth county pioneer obituary
Cana Boyce, early Plymouth county settler, died at his Elgin township home Monday night after about a week of illness. A England born 78 years ago, he moved to Plymouth county 37 years ago and lived in Elgin township. He leaves a widow and son Jamies Boyce. Funeral Thursday at 2 pm from his home, with Rev. George Pratt officiating, interment in the city cemetery.

Akron Fire Wrecks Block. $40,000 Loss Recorded
A Tuesday morning blaze in Akron destroyed a new two story brick block housing Beck and Burrill clothing stock valued at 15,000 and March Bros drug stock of 3,000. The March Bros and Beck & Burrill firms were wiped out with insurers covering about half the loss. Clark Cilley offices and fixtures, Wooton Robinson and OPHETS offices, and Clark Willey building were also lost. Total losses exceed 40,000 with about 20,000 uninsured.

Mrs Moir Dies After Brief Illness Near Seney
Mrs. Peter Moir of Glgn township six miles north of Seney died Saturday after a brief illness. She was married five years ago to Peter Moir and leaves a husband, two children, her parents Mr and Mrs John Osborn, four brothers and three sisters. The funeral was held Monday at the family home conducted by W G Moore of LeMars. Interment followed in LeMars.
