Pinochle and visiting filled the evening with high scores by Fred Brunken and Mrs. Louis Bruns and low scores by Herman Brunken and Mrs. Dick Frerichs before a midnight luncheon. Henry Reelis survived a Friday driving mishap, while Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nolan welcomed a baby boy and Mr. and Mrs. Wil Kruse a baby girl. Community life included Sunday visits, township trustees meeting, church services, and losses as Mrs. Theodore Plueger passed April 1.

Luther League met in Brunsville church basement with Olive Pecks hosting. Mrs Fred Jans and daughter returned Friday after visiting her parents Mr and Mrs Frank Port. Mrs Ben Fisher and daughters were Sioux City visitors Thursday. Porkie Oltmann bought a new car last week. Mrs Hoh Featherston and family visited her parents Mr and Mrs Chas Richards Brunsville. Mr and Mrs Otto Marienau were Le Mars callers Thursday. A baby girl was born to Mr and Mrs Bill Kruse Thursday March 28. Miss Rose Doering, employed near Ireton, visited her parents Sunday. Mr and Mrs Marvin Doering visited Lester Gatley Friday evening.
