Treasurer Henry Hartman reports tax take this year exceeds last year by about 220 000 but a large balance remains unpaid. First quarter totals show 936,360,976.18 collected with about 920,378.39 still outstanding. for 1950 the year’s total was 13,657,294.87, leaving a similar shortfall. E51 taxes for January through March total 902,828.87 with 41 812 48 more due than at year’s end last year.
