Thomas Wilson Lias died at his Akron home on March 25, 1907, aged 76 years. He was born February 19, 1831 in Huntington County Pennsylvania. He lived in Jackson County Iowa before moving to Johnson Township, Plymouth County, and later to Akron. Survived by wife Susan Morse and five sons Wm of Stelle North Dakota Hd s Gey Roger C and Harry, with two daughters Mary and Lucy having died in 1874. Funeral held at Akron M E Church with G A R and W E F C in attendance. Interment Riverside Cemetery. The piece notes a long life of farming and community service.

Resignation of LeMars Marshal Gannon and Death of Fred North
Fred North son of J North proprietor of Mai treet barber shop died after an operation for appendicitis at LeMars hospital. He was born March 9 1888 in Kingsley and had lived in the county since. Funeral services were held at his home then in Kingsley. Thomas Gannon longtime LeMars marshal resigned to allow police force reorganization. He served eight years as marshal and will be succeeded by deputy J Smith.

Mrs A W Shriver died Sunday evening at Le Mars hospital after a brief illness from blood poisoning. Born in Indiana 34 years ago she leaves a husband and three children. The remains were taken to Three Rivers Michigan for interment, accompanied by her husband. The Shrivers came to Le Mars about three months ago and resided in the south part of town. Mr and Mrs Shriver ran the Guy Roush Medicine Company.
