Reward for information on damage to Heppner line

The Heppner Light and Water Co warns of deadly 1000 volt transmission lines between Heppner and Jane and offers a fifty dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone injuring tampering with the lines or safety devices. The notice stresses liability for accidents caused by vandals and urges rapid reporting and enforcement. The Condon auto stage is nearly ready for its first trip in weeks. The lone trip has been ongoing for about a week on head of good bales.

Grand Surprise Party Celebrates Rev. Jones Birthday

A church gathering at the Rev J L Jones parsonage on February 22 fed a long dining room table with gifts and good things. The event honored Mrs Jones birthday and included playful games at Buffington building. Yeomen members held a separate meeting for new candidates, with songs, dancing, and refreshments, while local residents with farm notes and business visits fill the rest of the week.

Rabies Found in Coyote That Bit Several Animals in Oregon

State Health officer Roberg reported rabies in a coyote head examined after it bit a dog a pig and other owned animals in Howard Lone Ore. This marks the first rabies case from that state session in several months per the Oregonian.
