The Upper Columbia Athletic League met in Arlington last Saturday electing officers and adopting schedules for football baseball and basketball. Mr and Mrs Werst of Silcott Washington visited Mrs Werst's mother Mrs Emily McMurray for a few days last week. Mrs Celestine Balriger has been ill at Paul Brisiger's home since Monday.

Miss Hilma McMurray of Le wiston Idaho spent the weekend visiting her grandmother Mrs Emily McMurray. Mrs Arline Koebring of Seattle arrived Thursday to visit her parents Mr and Mrs Paul Balsiger and plans to stay in Lone and visit friends in Portland. Ruth Swanson, who had appendectomy at The Dallas Hospital last week, is recovering and may return home Sunday. Mr Allen Learned of Seattle visited Thursday and Friday. he is UW class of ’26 and his home is Port Ludlow Washington. Mr H O Ely of Morgan was a business visitor in Lone Friday. Albert Pettys, long a patient at The Dalles, is nearing homecoming next Sunday. Miss Helen Balsiger left for Seattle to resume studies at the University of Washington. October 1 marks the first football game of the season in Lone.
