Restored by electricity, Taunton bell rings again after 1886 crack

The famous First Unitarian Church bell in Taunton Massachusetts once cracked in 1886. A 1809 bronze bell forged by a Paul Revere apprentice was repaired last fall and reconnected to power. On February 13 it rang again, its voice restored by electrical welding and bronze filler.
