Schriver Sells 2175 Acre Ranch Near Lone to Walla Walla Buyer

M. Schriver sold his 2175 acre Lone ranch to J. E. Lewis of Walla Walla Washington through H. C. Woodegen ley of Tone. Lewis pays 75 000 with part payment and will move here with family to operate the property. They call it one of the largest real estate deals in the region since 1924.

Brave Girl Saves Man From Death In River

A fifteen year old Detroit girl risked her life to reach a man struggling near Mt Cheavens when the Clinton River near Seven Mile Road turned dangerous. She swam to Kelly, borne by blows, and kept him afloat until help arrived, with the man later taken to safety.

Pebbles swallowed by child in mystery illness

A child aged about seven in Merrieilie Pa. suffered repeated seizures and swallowed large amounts of pebbles from a pond area. Doctors found a quart of pellet-like stones in the stomach and later another large quantity. the cause remained a mystery as the child wandered near gravel beds in Manor Park.
