Pioneer Mother Goes Home

Anna Louisa Lundell born in Sweden on June 11 1842 married Frank A Lundell in 1870 came to California in 1882 moved to Gooseberry in 1887 and Lone in 1918 where she died June 22 1926 aged 84. Survived by six of ten children Aug W Ernest R Anna Lindstrom Mary Swanson Oscar L and Algotta. Funeral services held by Rev C G Bloomquint in Port land and at Gooseberry Swedish Lutheran church.

Anniversary Gathering at Butterby Flats

Last Sunday at Jack Hynd ranch near Cecil about seventy five relatives and friends celebrated the twenty fifth wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Jack Hynd. The couple marched from the lawn led by Buck Lievallan speed cop who acted as preacher. A kiss race followed and the husband won. A meal with many good eats and ice cream followed under trees with neighbors George and the preacher sharing in the sweets.
