Christmas Season Glows With Yuletide Decor On Main Street

Festive decorations fill the town during the Yuletide season. The evergreen tree on Main Street shines with red, white, blue and green bulbs as shops welcome visitors with warm greetings. A December gathering at the board featured many local residents and families enjoying holiday hospitality and a traditional Balsiger turkey.

Prize winners and football letters awarded in Lexington schools

In Lexington schools Miss Alice Montgomery awarded prizes for the book review porters with Har Bundy taking first prize and Veda Pundy second while Ellis Mayer received honorable mention. Twelve boys earned football letters including Capt. Emmet Kuna Dale Lane Archie Munkers Ellis Yager Maurice Keany and others. Wedding Bells at Lexington

A Christmas Day home wedding united Miss Elizabeth Spence and Ernest C. Ball at the Shriever home on Echo Market road. The ceremony followed a simple Congregational service conducted by Pastor Head of Ione with a flower girl bridesmaid and best man assisting.
