Carpenter District Goodwill Club held its regular monthly meeting in Riverside Park with 11 members and six children enjoying a picnic lunch. Edna Braun announced next month’s annual family picnic and ice cream social before some members and children swam.
Seventy five patients listed at Allen County Hospital with 62 admitted on June 21 including Joseph Herbert Rolf LeRoy and others. Dismissals on June 21 include Mrs. Robert Finley Joseph Herbert Rolf and several others. Birth announced for a girl born to Mr and Mrs Walter Alumbaugh in Iola weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces.
The women’s missionary society of the First Baptist Church met Thursday in Fellowship Hall. President Mrs. A H Richmond led the business session and Mrs Jack Heimberg gave the love gift and dedication prayer. Devotions by Mrs Eugene Robb followed by a Bethel Neighborhood Center report presented by Mrs Jay Thyer with help from Mrs DeLane Patrick and Mrs Joe Ketcher. Afterward, circle meetings were held and the Ioleta McElhaney Circle served refreshments to 33 members.
