Proso Hulling Machine Reaches State College for Demonstration
After a year and seven months a Russian proso hulling machine arrived at State College Brookings South Dakota for a successful trial in the horticultural building at the state fair. Professor Hansen notes the device hulls white Siberian proso millet for milling and cites proso’s high protein content and suitability for dry uplands. A larger machine is expected from Russia via New York once ocean conditions allow.
