Missionary evangelist Mrs. Bartells of Portland and guests Chaning and wife of Sheridan were guests at E. J. Wood’s home when their car brake failed on a hill near Alzada road. It rolled and overturned but all escaped with minor injuries. Local residents helped recover the car and transport them safely.
Margaret Seig visits Aunt Mia and Ed Allen of Moorcroft for a short time. Grave and Louise Atkinson and Mildred Hoback attend a Saturday night dance on Duck Creek. Mrs. Roy Parson visits Mrs. Fil Seig Sunday. Mrs. Geo. Stinson trips to Moorcroft Thursday. Mrs. Wallace and Eva go to Scotts Bluff Nebraska for the winter. L. H. Willson leaves for Spearfish Sunday via Moorcroft. Goldie Edna Rathbun and Arthur head to Casper Saturday. The girls will attend high school, Mrs. Record visits daughter Mrs. John DeWitt Saturday.
Ben Colvin and companions from Alva visit community today. E B Kerer leases Hullet hotel and offers meals at thirty five cents. Louis Callquist loses about fifty bushels of grain and straw in a fire ignited by dust in the separator. Spearfish beats Aladdin 13 7. Aladdin defeats Yale at Whitewood 11 4 with George Ripley praised for help. New Hullet school building finished. Kester and Blakeman praised as capable carpenters. School opens September 4 12 with Miss Watt, Miss Chatterton, and R L Park in charge.
An advertisement claims Hall's Catarrh Medicine cures catarrhal deafness by acting on mucous surfaces and offers a reward for any case not cured. The rest of the text contains U S Land Office notices from Newcastle Wyoming dated 1921 including homestead proofs and witness lists, plus local social notes about residents and a newborn.
Department of the Interior notice from Newcastle Wyoming dated August 6 1921 states Guy H Davidson of Hulett Wyoming has filed intention to make final five year proof to establish his land claim in section 4 township 34 north range 65 west 6th meridian. He will appear before Paul W Yeoman United States Commissioner at Hulett September 20 1921. Witnesses named include Ed Pollock Dell Pollock both of Oshrope Wyoming John C Wilkie New Haven Wyoming and Cecil Neater of Hulett.
Thomas de Jefferson of Carlile Wyoming files notice of intention to make final three year proof for homestead entry No 6004 in section and township details. Proceedings to be held Sept 2 1921 before Paul W Yeoman at Klulett Wyoming. Other names listed: John M Thornw Edward Huber Andrew Parson Arthur Montgomery.
