U S land office Sundance Wyoming issues notices on June 16 18 and Sept 10 1919 detailing Henrietta Seely and Ralph Oliver filings for homestead and timber claims plus appraisals of timber and land values. Final proof dates set and rights to contest before patent issues noted with witnesses listed.
Moorcroft Wyoming dealer Moorcroft Motor Co proprietor F B Helmer reports a shipment of four touring cars and two roadsters. Two touring cars and one roadster are equipped with self starters. The stock arrival adds to local auto choices for buyers.

Gerald Tucker and wife arrived from Nebraska but returned to Wyoming due to Mrs. Tucker health. Ross Butts bought a one ton Ford truck for the Hulett Alzada mail line. Ranchers attended a federal farm loan meeting in Hulett on October 11 with another planned for October 18. County agent Oldroyd will supervise. W.4 Wood joined Overland agency for Hulett and bought a new Overland Your. Hulett Mercantile Co installed a Delco electric lighting system, first in town. John Dirks visited Missouri after sending cattle to Omaha. Ed Manke reported satisfactory conditions at Left Creek. W.P. Pearson came from Casper to help Guy Mewhirter. Mrs. C. G. Brimmer sent a commendation for her son Corporal Gilbert Brimmer from Colonel E. T. Conley. next week the letter will be published. It is likely the Land Office will move from Sundance to Moorcroft or Newcastle.
Examinations cover six weeks of work and basketball practice continues vigorously. Gladys Eyes and Vera Kester are the champion spellers. Thanks to Mr Hauber and the janitor for chimney cleaning. Work on the well will begin soon. Need for more seating in the upper rooms. The intermediate room uses the World Book daily. The Merchant of Venice by tenth grade is near completion. A marshmallow toast with Miss Shear as chaperon was enjoyed by the lads and sassies.
Roy Foy moved his well drill from Ed Watson to C L Tates ranch this week. Chet Wood Delmer Geiger and Earnest Fowlkes returned this week from Blunt South Dakota where they were employed for several months. A large dance was held at Chet Woods home last Saturday night. Ollie Queen and Miss Pearl Nelson were Sunday visitors in the area. Mrs Hope Stockton is visiting Frank Stockton and wife.
Mr Shad Say asks about a business partnership. Mr Oyster confirms the partnership dissolution. Both men were caught and turned into oyster soup, a sensational tale with a grim aftermath.

Alva area residents report weather changes with a past week turning bleak. Steve Mahoney ferried sheep to Aladdin to ship. Patton works rye and wheat for Louis Johnson. W M French rebuilds a porch for Mrs. Ruland. Alfred Nelsons hosted Sunday callers at Johnsons. Guy Seely and wife visit friends and will return to near Bay Horse Montana. James C Patton made a business call in Hulett. Thurman Graves Jr and wife Mary Eula and Jack Deckleman attended Barrett's dance. Mr White returned from an east trip.
Local Committee of the Farm Bureau approves purchasing potatoes directly from fields to meet winter needs. Those in need should place orders immediately with W. J. Wood, Webster, chairman. A two year old brindle steer branded SUS on left side is missing. five dollar reward offered by David W. Riesland, Rockypoint, Wyoming.
Ram yield advertised from Corriedale stock, 175 rams with heavyweight wooled quality. Sire and dam weights listed, sale possible one or many animals, prices $25 to $45 per ram, subject to change. Also notices about Sunday School and office closure in November.
Delia Derrickson visits Aunt Mrs FE B Walker and plans to attend a hop at Barrett hall. J W Bates and J D Adair haul hay for Hl L Simms from the Collins ranch. Fd Derrickson of Sheridan visits Mona area, Bert brings him to Belle Fourche. Sam Adair escorts William Waddington to Hot Springs for medical aid. George Derrick son stays with Sam to tend stock. Mrs J J Nelson goes to Hot Springs for the winter work. William Collins just returned from Colorado visit with his mother.
