The Kelly school opened Monday with Miss Mary McCluer in charge. Luke O. Smith became a hat merchant. Mrs. W. A. Ripley spoke on school matters Sunday. Archie Turneaure and Rev. Brown visited last Thursday. Sunday School gathered at E. A. Allen's to practice new songs. Mrs. Watson reportedly broke her leg last Saturday. The Farmers Society of Equality added eleven members with ice cream and cake Saturday evening. Norman Allen’s plowing event last week led to a runaway team and one horse badly cut by the plow.

Church Notes and Veterans Memorial Plans in New Haven Area

Rev W B Charles led meetings at New Haven schoolhouse drawing strong local interest with four new members added at the church. Memorial services planned for next Sunday and Decoration Day on May 30 with patriotic music in Hulett. Brass band revival discussed, local youths show musical promise, and preaching at Helle Friday.
