Local notes from Rockypoint and surrounds

Last Monday brought fine rain to Rockypoint while Saturday night saw light snow here. Spencer McLain planted cats and potatoes and made a trip to Ridge. J M Carey had dinner with Jim Donalds midweek. Frank Smith returned from a business trip. Bill Crossier of Ridge called on the Flats Sunday. Frank Stearns and Syd Ladd left for Belle Fourche Friday. Bill Merryman bought cattle on the Flats Saturday. W N Closnon left Saturday for Aladdin to attend School District No 2. Stanley and Oliver Hemenwa went to Hale’s last Wednesday. Oliver plans to file on a homestead. Lewis J Reece arrived Monday from Hot Springs SD where he wintered. Alva Butler was thrown from his pony Friday evening and sprained his wrist.

Farrell Findings Narve Wood and Ripley at Work on Ranch

Farrell Findings Narve Wood handles a fine lot of cattle and will soon start up his cattle work. C C Ripley uses his steam engine for harrowing seeding and other farm tasks. Geo N Cooke suffered a prolonged cold while Alva church held special services Sunday with three ministers Reva Coffey Wood and Meltae in attendance. A. G. Woodcock had a wreck last Friday when moving a disk with four horses. one horse fell, dragged the disk and was shot after becoming dangerous.
