Belle Fourche Line Survey Advances to Colony

Eva Cinq-Mars spent Sunday in Belle Fourche while Mabel Zink joined the Colony group to serve meals to the boys in wooden soled shoes. The Belle Fourche Rural Telephone Co. finished surveying a new Bear Lodge country line, cedar poles and materials are in Colony, work to finish soon. Sheriff Farrel aided Mrs. Matthew Reedy to recover her son and clothing after a heated argument earlier in the week.

Dry Weather Stalls Pests as Rain Needed for Ground

Mice gophers and dry spell thwart efforts to head off trouble while residents report a trout dinner at the Ralph Smith home. Miss Truax and her father visited Farrall over the weekend, the old gent did not fish. A brief rain fell Wednesday but cooled quickly, leaving the ground very dry and in need of a substantial rain to do real good.

Eva Byrd and Zeta Bush departed Tuesday evening for Spearfish to visit the valley town. Will Wood left for Alzada this morning to visit his cousin C. L. Wood and family.
