Fourth of July Programme at Hulett Street Concert
The Hulett Band hosts a morning program on July Fourth at Hulett Street with races for 200 pound men to 15 year olds, hurdles, potato race, ladies and boys events, a 100 yard dash, and a 25 yard boys novelty race followed by a baseball game and balloon ascent. Fireworks light Powell hill after 8 p.m. under capable management.

Sunday School Party Brightens Young Minds
A memorable party given by Miss Elinor Sherm delighted Mrs. Gunderson's Sunday school class children who were described as little sunbeams on life’s way. Mrs. Burns remained ill at her Powell house home and not gaining much strength.

School Meeting Seeks New Room and Upgrades
The meeting held last Monday at the school house drew many tax-payers and citizens. The board was instructed to add one room on the present site with a solid foundation, building only what is needed this year and finishing the second room later when funds allow. Bids will be considered promptly as the time is short and further improvements to courses and equipment are planned. Now is the time to boost for a better school.
Hulett Farm Loan Association Advances Plans and Growth
The Hulett Farm Loan Association met last Monday and plans to extend to Campbell county first township. Lightning Flat district becomes part of the area as appraisals approach. Members urged to join now with an organized itinerary to minimize costs. Powell visited for ranch matters and reports feed abundance winter, north area faces shortages. John C. Bothwell signs with Woolson Spice Co. and promotes their coffee at the sale. Mrs Powell loses cow to river accident. Albert Kiehl visits the home ranch. FF. Bo Helmer and wife visited city figures Monday after a visit from Mr. Helmer's father from St. Joseph Missouri. He is 77 and enjoyed the trip and may invest in local land. J. J. Minnich filed final proof on his Tower area homestead as evidence showed heavy work and good crops. The New Haven pair Jim Dopple and Jim Randall visited Monday, braving rain and expressing approval.
