Local notice from a chamber agent for B. Gross and Company stating highest prices paid for hides and furs if sold to the right party. The agent will be at Hulett for two or three weeks and invites inquiries via Hulett Mercantile Company for details.
A local listing shows Kodak Inishing offering fifteen cents per roll and twenty five cents for film packs. Velvet prints cost four and five cents, while glossy prints are five and six cents. The notice cites Mrs J N McDonough of 112 Pine Street Deadwood as the contact.
Fred Murray and family visit the 8. A. Kyes family from South Dakota and consider settling in Crook county. Newton C. Whities loses four fingers from an axe accident with Russell Krinning. Beatrice and Harold Chittim return from Missouri. Harry Bates, United States commissioner, attends to Rockypent business. Chesney Baker moves to Salhacket Alaska with the U. S. Signal Corps. Harlo Oliver family back from Rapid City. A. G. Morgan visits from Rock Springs. Road work on June 22 highlights highway improvements. Treed A Pearson and wife return from the ranch for supplies.
A regional meeting of Hulett Moorcroft Carlile and Sundance representatives set a one day Fourth of July event at Devil's Tower for Saturday July 3. A temporary committee led by J W Webster will oversee planning with a 600 fund split among towns. Activities include speeches music a noon picnic a ball game with purse 100 and other sports with cash prizes. Local water ice oil and gas arrangements are noted alongside dance and corral preparations.
At the Hulett Rochdale annual meeting in Hulett last Saturday E C Fowlkes J L Callquist and W H Blake man were elected directors The board now includes T A Pearson L B Atkinson E C Fowlkes W H Blakeman and J L Callquist W E Lichfield will replace C W Roberts as manager coming from Rapid City South Dakota and is highly recommended.
