Interior to designate stock raising lands under new act
The act authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to designate public lands as stock raising lands if suitable for grazing and forage. Applications may be filed with affidavits, with suspensions until land character is confirmed. Provisions govern homestead entries, contiguity rules, coal and mineral reservations, and stock driveways with detailed use rules. Regulations will follow, but applications may proceed amid potential confusion from haste.
