I O O F Installation Delayed Then Held

The local I O O F installation of officers, nearly a month late from various causes, was completed last Saturday evening with Everett C. Engle named special deputy to conduct the ceremony. The elected and appointed officers were duly installed to serve until the next election.

Schenck Buys Pool Hall in Cole Building

Last Saturday Willard Schenck became owner and proprietor of the pool hall in the Cole building. He bought the property from Clarence Mitchell who had operated it the past month. Schenck will run the place orderly and will continue to employ Charles Hissacca at the barber chair. As the town’s only amusement venue of its kind, the sale marks a notable change.

Will Kelly delivered Millett on Monday while others labored in icy conditions. A. F. Lueck visited the L. L. White family on Thursday. Roy Rakestraw and Leonard White aided W. D. Kelly with saw logs last Thursday and Friday. R. J. and Clyde Marshall tipped a hay load in a snow drift last week. Clyde humorously notes the snow slept standing on his head.
