Home Fire Destroys House of Mrs Queen and Son
Last Monday at noon a dwelling occupied by Mrs. Mary Queen and her son burned, all residents responded but it was hopeless. The fire started in the attic from a disjointed stove pipe. Property belongs to Henry Nelson now in Alabama. loss partially insured. Mrs. Queen lost all personal effects and faces severe hardship.

May Lose His Sight from Chicago Accident
H L Rhode a Chicago Telephone Company worker suffered a severe eye injury while laying an underground cable at 30th and Indiana. A steel fragment shattered the left eyeball after a hammer strike, two operations failed to save sight, and the eye was removed. Daily treatments aim to preserve the right eye.
