Round-Up Riders Fall In Exhibition Mishaps At Beef Camp

The D and LA ranch boys Hugh Gainer Carl Jeane and John Driskill rode wild breaks during a beef round-up dinner rest period. All three fell, with Gainer sustaining broken ribs Jeane severely cut and the others hurt in the tumble, drawing a large audience for the horsemanship display.

Moorcroft residents report between July 23 and August 7 a two inch rainfall. local stockmen Fred Griffin and Geo Carr assist with cattle, Henry Rich trades at the city, and Pete Lackous with daughters visit merchants. Young Riders Treated After Horse Incident At Arena

Two hours after an accident at the arena, Joh Driskill and other young men were rushed to Moorcroft for treatment after a broken collar bone caused by a horse walking on his neck. Surgeons later sent them on to Wellville for care and all are expected to be well and back to work soon.

Man Walks Forty Miles In A Day In Heat Burst

J. M. Carey completed a 40 mile trek from Rocky Point to Hulett on a Tuesday noted as the warmest day of the year. The temperature hit 100 degrees at noon as he set a notable endurance record.

Examinations for Teachers and Eighth Graders at Hulett

Teachers and eighth grade examinations will be held at Hulett on Friday and Saturday, August 25 and 26, 1901.
