Obituary: Mrs. James Sunderland Passes Away in City

Sad news reports the death of Mrs. James Sunderland in the city on Sunday morning July 28. Born Opal Dicker in Town on December 13, 1897, she came to Wyoming with her parents in 1908 and lived here ever since. She was a popular Crook County schoolteacher before marrying James Sunderland in 1915, and the couple had one child, a baby boy aged one year and five months.

Public notice on child registration dates at Hulett post office

It is required that all children from 8 months to 16 years register with Mrs. Chittim at the Hulett post office on August 8 9 and 10. Fern DeFord of J Hulett Wyoming filed December 27 1917 an application to purchase Lot 12 Section 2 Township 66 North Range 65 West sixth principal meridian under the Timber and Stone Law. Land and timber valued at 1000 cedar posts and 10000 board feet valued at 80 cents per unit with total value around 400. Final proof to be made January 10 1918 before the U S Land Office at Sundance Wyoming Protest possible by affidavit to defeat entry.

The United States seeks 25,000 trained nurses to free graduates for overseas service. Crook County, Wyoming, is asked to register four, with women aged 20 to 35 who have completed training eligible.
