The Alva creamery work is progressing with capable leadership and strong organization. Stock remains to be sold but avid patron prospecting should finish it soon. Building will start shortly and officers are contacting butter makers to hire a manager.
Reports from Sundance state EK B Kerer and H H Gish were found guilty of selling liquor without a license and fined 150 dollars plus costs. Virgil Moore was guilty of running a gambling house and fined 500 dollars plus costs. Lee Pearson’s aggravated assault case against Tom Caverly was dismissed. No civil case outcomes available.
Clarence Cleveland and Bert McClure witnessed a joy ride incident at Dreamland where a vaudeville manager’s hat blew off. A small woman in the car asked a boy to retrieve it, but he refused and sped away. Jim Smith of the Bee North West Post identified the indignant youth.
Rev Brown leads Easter services in Hulett next Sunday at 11 a m and 7 30 p m. Miss Merrill Brown sings at the morning service and the sermons titled The Floral Message and The Fact of the Resurrection will be delivered with solo quartet and chorus. A 2 30 p m service is also set at the Russell Schoolhouse. all are invited.
Last Friday at the Rebekah hall a farewell event honored Mr and Mrs Elmore Engle with a fine program and feast. The Engle family leaves Hulett, admired for civic pride and lodge involvement, and good wishes follow them to their new home.
Five dollar gift to Crook County rural schools is to help start a library and fund a plant life exhibit at the County Institute. Rules limit exhibits to three specimens per child, full plant with roots and leaves, up to ten inches, mounted on cardboard with a description. Names and schools must accompany each entry.
The ceremony took place March 22 1014 at the bride’s parents home in Viroqua Wisconsin with Rev J E Cooke officiating. The groom from W A Morgan and Son has lived in Belle Fourche eight to ten years and is a skilled businessman. The bride has resided in the city two to three years and worked at the Morgan store.
