Last Saturday morning at the Mitchell homestead a six-shooter discharged while Mrs. Mitchell handled it during chamber work with two daughters nearby. The bullet killed her instantly as witnesses Arilla and Gertrude watched. funeral held Monday at Hulett cemetery.
