United Press reports from Pekin that Wu Pei Fu declared war to the end and mobilized two hundred thousand troops to subdue Chang Tso Lin. A Mukden dispatch says Manchurian forces repulsed a Wu Pei Fu cavalry attack with heavy losses. The Japanese government granted use of the South Manchurian Railway for operations toward Pekin.
United Press reports two armed bank robbers were captured by town citizens at the North Webster State Bank twelve miles north of Warsaw Indiana during the noon hour. Albert Barber left for lunch and Harry Breeding was returning when the attempt began. One bandit was seized, the other fled and was cornered near a cemetery. No shots were fired and authorities rushed to Warsaw for arrest.

In Tipton Indiana Robert Christy was found guilty of manslaughter in the death of James Barnett a disabled school teacher. The jury returned the verdict after late Friday deliberations and Christy awaits sentencing scheduled for Tuesday. Barnett was killed during a dispute over a small account.
Leon Fleming aged 16 and Charles Smith aged 14 were sentenced to one day in jail by Criminal Judge James A. Collins on unlawful possession of FE. B. Pipfer’s auto. The youths drove to Crown Point, Indiana, and were arrested. Judge Collins ordered them to return in old clothes for a transfer to the Indiana State farm under a new rule on car theft by minors.

John Barrymore, 38, charged with assault and battery and malicious trespass after an alleged disturbance at a rooming house. Mrs. Mary Brown, 84, reported he broke furniture, kicked twelve windows, and struck her following the discovery a young woman had left without an address.
