White Slated For Long Term As City Judge
As Indianapolis moves to four new municipal courts, Governor Jackson faces pressure to appoint four municipal judges. Two Republicans Dan V White and Paul Wetter are named for Republican slots, amid opposition to Wetter. Democrats expected Fred McAllister and Thomas Garvin to fill the other two seats. The 1925 Legislature calls the system an experiment, shifting city court duties to Marion County and placing county clerical tasks under County Clerk Albert Losche as municipal courts assume city work.
