Finley R. McConnel, 72, longtime Indianapolis Times employee and 41-year member of the Indianapolis Typographical Union, died this morning at a Bedford home. Retired six years, he was a renowned figure in local newspaper offices and printing shops. An Odd Fellow, a Mason, and a Woodman, he will be laid to rest after funeral services Saturday.

Evelyn Vincent, nine, of Euclid avenue, is in serious condition at City Hospital with a bullet wound in her right arm after a revolver discharged by her brother Gerald Vincent, thirteen, Wednesday afternoon. The gun, brought to the Vincent home by Edward Yeager, found hidden in a closet, and Yeager reported the boy cocked the trigger repeatedly before a discharge occurred.
