Bandits Shoot Watchman in North Manchester Robbery
North Manchester Indiana October 15 Bandits killed night watchman Presto Vickery during a gun duel with two robbers at Brady clothing store. Wilbur Martin fired on the men and Vickery died from a body wound as the pair escaped. Posses formed and no loot was taken.

Burglary Suspect Shot at Silver Lake Escape Charge
Miss Anna Harper 45 of Mansfield Illinois was wounded in a shooting during a police chase linked to a burglary attempt at Brady Clothing Co North Manchester. Pioneer City Woman Dies at 81 in Indianapolis
Mary J. Orbison 81 of 3522 East New York Street longtime Pioneer City resident died today at her home. Known in the neighborhood as the lady who sat on Abraham Lincoln s lap she recalled Lincoln s knee as a child. She was a graduate of Oxford Seminary and married to William H. Orbison July 11 1871. Funeral 2 30 Friday at the home with burial in Troy Ohio Saturday. Survivors include two daughters Mrs Omer Post and Miss Elizabeth Orbison both of Indianapolis a son Charles J Orbison Los Angeles two grandchildren Telford Orbison Indianapolis and Robert H Orbison Washington D C.

Heart attack fatal at wheel of auto
