Man and friend face fines after pistol incident in city court
Glenn Koffel twenty of 1633 East Town street was fined 136 dollars and ordered thirty days on a state penal farm after conviction in Municipal Judge Paul Wetter's court for drawing a deadly weapon carrying a concealed weapon drunkenness and resisting arrest. Alleged to have frightened an eight year old boy into drinking almost a pint of whisky. Oliver Bates, a black man, 913 Locke street, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, drunkenness, trespass and operating a blind tiger. He was fined 100 dollars and sentenced to sixty days on the penal farm for the blind tiger charge, and fined 5 dollars for trespass. The delinquency case goes to juvenile court. The boy, unconscious, was taken to city hospital. Bates allegedly threatened kidnapping to force participation.

France receives liner Oregon to establish Bremen to Pacific route

Maid Gets Life Term For Ohio Employer Murder
