In Farmington Connecticut on November twenty ninth Governor John H Trumbull and Mrs Trumbull announced the engagement of their daughter Florence to John Coolidge son of the President. The couple were part of a twenty fifth wedding anniversary supper with officials and society leaders present. Florence hinted at the match on arrival in New Orleans and said the wedding would not be at the White House.
The Flower Mission Society announced a 100 bed TB hospital to be built on city hospital grounds at a cost around 250000. It has 70000 raised and aims to raise the rest later with city cooperation. Harry Fidler, 29, of 1616 Villa avenue, hurrying to a downtown hotel, was injured when a door handle struck his face as he boarded a cab driven by Lonnie McMann on Capitol avenue near Court street Wednesday night.
One man died and four injured when a truck collided with an Interstate bus near Shelbyville Indiana on November 29. The deceased was W. S. Farmer of West Frankfort Kentucky. The bus driver and three passengers were hospitalized in serious condition.

Neighbors found 28 year old Ben Reinstadt slumped in a chair at 1256 West New York Street after a midnight scream. A pistol lay in his hand and he died later at city hospital. Police say he shot himself following a quarrel with housekeeper Muriel Cilian.
