Auto Plunges 18 Feet In Bridge Embankment Chase
A three mile pursuit between deputy sheriffs and two bandits ended when the bandit car plunged over an 18 foot embankment near Ben Davis. Deputies Ollie May and John McDowell, newly appointed, pursued from the National road and Earl street toward the Pennsylvania tracks. The bandits fled on foot. both limped, and the wrecked car was reported stolen from Plainfield. Officers found bread, burglars tools, a blackjack, and stolen license plates.
